BeeGraphy Editor Toolbox Plugin

This plugin provides hardware and joinery nodes for assembling furniture and cabinet designs within the BeeGraphy Editor.

Usage

The nodes in this plugin are used to place, join, and machine standard hardware components — fasteners, hinges, connectors, slides, and brackets — onto 3D panel geometry. These nodes can be found in the Toolbox group in the menu or via the search engine.

Capabilities

Fasteners

Fastener nodes provide standard hardware items with their associated 3D geometry and machining operations. Supported fasteners include bolt and nut pairs (M4–M24), wooden and steel dowel pins, Euro screws, confirmats, tee nuts, and wood screws. Each node outputs the hardware item along with the pre-defined boring and drilling operations required for installation.

Connectors and Hinges

Connector nodes provide knock-down fitting hardware for flat-pack assembly. The cam lock (Minifix-style) node outputs an eccentric connector with a pocket, through-hole, and cross-bore. The cup hinge node provides a 35 mm European-style hinge with all six associated machining operations for cup bore and mounting arm installation.

Placement Nodes

Placement nodes handle positioning hardware onto panels and joining parts together:

  • PlaceHardware — positions a hardware item at a specified world-space location and surface normal, applying boolean cuts to the host solid in real time.
  • JoinParts — joins two panel solids using a hardware item by applying host and mating machining operations to each part respectively, outputting both assembled panels with operations baked in world coordinates.
  • AutoHinge — automatically distributes N cup hinges on a door panel relative to a cabinet side using standard margin rules, applying cup bore operations to the door and mounting plate holes to the cabinet.
  • HardwareArray — distributes a hardware item at regular intervals along a panel face.

Slides and Rails

Slide nodes output drawer and linear rail hardware pairs from the toolbox library. The drawer slide node supports side-mount and under-mount configurations with a dynamic screw hole array. The linear rail node provides standard rail-and-carriage assemblies.

Brackets

The corner bracket node provides a right-angle L-bracket for cabinet and carcass reinforcement with screw holes on both legs.

Machining Visualizer

The MachiningVisualizer node renders machining operations as color-coded ghost overlays on a host solid, with optional dimension labels showing diameter and depth for each operation type. It is useful for inspecting and debugging the operations produced by other toolbox nodes before export.

Documentation

Hinge

35mm European cup hinge (Blum Clip Top style). Cup bore + arm, 6 machining ops.

Slides

Side-mount or under-mount drawer slide pair with dynamic screw hole array.

MGN/HGR-series linear guide rail with carriage block(s).

Fastener

Hex bolt + nut pair (M4-M24)

Cross-dowel connecting screw. Face + edge drill.

Press-in tee nut (bottom face)

Euro confirmat screw for flat-pack carcass, stepped drill.

Cylindrical wooden/steel dowel pin with two blind holes

Revolved wood screw with countersink and pilot hole

Connector

Minifix-style eccentric cam lock. 15mm pocket + through-hole + cross-bore for flat-pack carcass assembly.

Lock

Rectangular furniture door lock. Pocket + cylinder bore + faceplate groove. 3 machining ops.

Brackets

Right-angle L-bracket for cabinet/carcass reinforcement with screw holes on both legs.

Machining

Renders machining operation geometry as color-coded ghost overlays on a host solid

Placement

Places a hardware item onto a host solid using a position and a normal direction vector. Boolean cuts are applied in real time.

Distributes N copies of a ToolboxItem on a chosen face using a CSS-flexbox layout (justify-content along the long axis, align-items along the cross axis, horizontal/vertical padding shrinks the working area). Each tool’s ops travel as a rigid group so multi-op tools keep relative geometry.

Mapping

Maps colliding hardware operations onto sheets via Solid-Solid intersection.
