STL Exporter

Creation method#

There are two options for creating an STL Exporter node.#

• The first way is to create an STL Exporter node using the search list, which is opened by double left-clicking in the workspace. You can write the name of the node or related words:
  • STL, Exporter, download, file
• The second way is to select a node from the menu that opens from the top left.
  • Menu > Export > STL Exporter

Steps#

• Create a STL Exporter node.
• Connect a geometry to the input port of the STL Exporter node.
• Open the Export menu from the top panel.
• In the Export Options section, select the STL Exporter node you want to use for downloading (if there are multiple exporters).
• You can also choose the export quality and, depending on the node, additional download options may be available.
• Click the Download button to get the geometry as a .stl file.

STL files are commonly used in 3D printing and rapid prototyping for representing surface geometry.
