STEP Exporter

Creation method#

There are two options for creating an STEP Exporter node.#

• The first way is to create an STEP Exporter node using the search list, which is opened by double left-clicking in the workspace. You can write the name of the node or related words:
  • STEP, STP, Exporter, download, file
• The second way is to select a node from the menu that opens from the top left.
  • Menu > Export > STEP Exporter

Steps#

• Create a STEP Exporter node.
• Connect a geometry to the input port of the STEP Exporter node.
• Open the Export menu from the top panel.
• In the Export Options section, select the STEP Exporter node you want to use for downloading (if there are multiple exporters).
• You can also choose the export quality and, depending on the node, additional download options may be available.
• Click the Download button to get the geometry as a .step file.

STEP files are widely supported in mechanical and industrial CAD systems for exchanging 3D models with high precision.
