Creation method

There are two options for creating Extract Face By Plane node.

  • The first way to create Extract Face By Plane node using the search list, which is opened by double left-clicking in the workspace. You can write the name of the node you need, or words associated with this node.
    • face , extract , plane
  • The second way is to select Extract Face By Plane node from the menu that opens from the top left.
    • Menu > Tool > Solid > Extract Face By Plane

Steps

  • Create Extract Face By Plane node.
  • Connect a Solid or Surface geometry to the input port.
  • Connect a Plane to define which face(s) to extract.

After connecting the geometry and the plane, the node will extract all faces from the geometry that are coplanar with the given plane. On the output ports, you'll get:

Faces that match the plane,

Edges of those faces.
